This vibrant Scandinavian mid 20th Century expressionist oil painting depicting fishing scene with boy at the lake in Sweden. The wide brushstrokes and panoramic composition are executed with natural hues. The picture displayed in a well-presented wood frame. Framed and signed by Bertil Wahleberg. Artist, born March 1, 1923, in Brännkyrka, Stockholm, died November 24, 1980, in Danderyd. Bertil Wahlberg studied with Isaac Grünewald. He has made himself known through public life depictions, often with children, and landscape paintings, both with motifs from abroad and Sweden, including from the Stockholm archipelago. Represented in National Museum, Moderna Muséet, Stockholm, and Trelleborg Museum.
